All Stars Football
For the past 3 years Pride sports' experienced team of football coaches have been commissioned to deliver weekly community football events in areas of deprivation and primarily in Halton and Widnes.
Multi-Sports Events
In 2011 Pride Sports has been commissioned the Wythenshawe Games, a week long 'Olympic' style mutlisports event that aims to: encourage healthier lifestyles, increase participation in sport in the area and boost the image of Wythenshawe.
Since 2005 Pride sports has delivered the UK's only annual LGBT multi-sports festival called Pride Games, with up to 30 events over 8 days.
In 2009 the Team delivered the first Pride sports Day in Liverpool at the City's pride Event.
Since 2007 Pride Sports has delivered annual athletics based sports days for George House Trust.
Since 2007 the Team has delivered park based family fun days for all age groups and abilities.
Since 2008 Pride sports, with LGBT Youth North West, has delivered the World's only LGBT Youth multi-sports games - a young persons development programme.
New Groups Start Ups
With more than 12 new sports group start ups already activated, the Team targets two new group start ups each year, using Pride Games as an achor event and driver. more ..
Team Manchester
The Team Manchester website, a need driven tool kit to help new and developing groups find their own way, with access to support when necessary. It makes an important stride in bringing LGBT sports together for collaboration and information sharing. This facility is brought to you by Pride Sports and will offer opportunities for involvement in Team Manchester development and in updating this web site. LGBT Community Sports Awards
The launch of Manchester’s LGBT Community Sports Awards in 2009, was supported by Manchester Leisure and the Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation amongst others. They provide a vehicle not only for recognising the wealth of talent and commitment seen in LGBT community sport across Greater Manchester, but also provide a vehicle for raising the aspirations of LGBT sports groups. Small financial rewards for nominated sports groups also help the growth of the sector on a local level.
Out & Active
Pride Sports also produces an LGBT sports and activity guide to Greater Manchester, Out & Active, which is funded through sales of advertising. This comprehensive guide provides free editorial space for LGBT sports and activity groups, has seen 50,000 copies distributed across the region over a four year period.
