A new Basketball group for lesbian, bisexual and trans women has recently formed in Manchester with the name 'Slam-dunking Divas'.

The team which has so far recruited more than ten players is ultimately training to enter the World Outgames being held this year in Copenhagen from 25 July to 2 August. Players train every Sunday evening from 7-9pm at Stretford Leisure Centre close to the city with coach Anna Verges. The group is still recruiting women from across the area interested in playing the sport, regardless of age or ability.

"Those who want to train to play at the games in Copenhagen are very welcome but also those who just wish to learn the skills of the sport, have fun and meet new friends while playing". Lou Englefield, Director of Pride Sports and one of the brains behind the group commented.
