2008 saw Pride Sports host the first national lgbt sports summit and the first natioanl steering group meeting of sports organisers from around the UK.At the the heart of this enterprise is knowledge sharing and mutual support.

There are pockets of lgbt sports and leisure activity all around the UK largely operating in isolation and  little acknowledgment in national sports planning statistics, we are beginning process to help each other, raise our profile and attract support. In return we have a lot to offer, with so many lgbt people taking part in sports nationally we have a strong case and a lot of value to add for both lgbt people and mainstream National Governing bodies.
